Synopsis: When Morgan receives an anonymous invite to play his favorite mobile word game, he readily accepts. He quickly finds himself wishing he hadn’t. As the rules of the game bend and twist, so does his mind. The search to discover the mystery opponent’s identity soon becomes his whole world, but some questions are best left unanswered.

I think we all have ONE game, one guilty pleasure – linked with our social networking so we have hundreds of possible partners at a moment’s notice. I had my Words With Friends phase, and a shorter affair with Hanging With Friends, (‘MY Game’ was Scramble). That pang of excitement every time you hear a new notification beep, or vibration.
What if that pang of excitement turned into a heart-stopping panic? Your opponent knows your dirty little secret and is getting more aggressive with each new word!
Morgan is as addicted to his Words With Friends app as Alex Baldwin! When he accepts a game invitation from ‘SeaShell’, he soon realizes that this is no ordinary game, it’s something much more sinister.
That girl he was with the other night, they we’re out in the middle of nowhere – nobody could have seen what happened, right? ‘SeaShell’ is becoming increasingly more hostile and accusatory with each new post, and Morgan realizes that SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT HE DID.
This is where we ride along with Morgan on his rapid decent to madness.

The author, Matt Schiariti, took the feel of an old Twilight Zone episode and blended it with today’s technology – and he couldn’t have done it better. It could have easily veered off track – right into Cheeseville, to become an entirely different kind of story. (Not saying that’s bad, cheesey can be fun!) But, he kept it classy – a classic feel with a modern spin, and I can picture this as the first in a series of similarly themed stories – if he wanted to explore that route.
