Sea’s Sanger Series

Sanger Entertainment The Complete Series by Sea Caummisar
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WARNING – Once you start this book, you won’t be able to stop until the last book is finished.
If you picked up this series before reading anything else from this author, Sanger Entertainment was born in the blood of Games The Complete Series Books 1-6. I was really excited about the idea of Sanger getting its own series, but I didn’t have a clue what it was going to be like. The reality of the final project exceeded my wildest imagination!
It has everything I wanted – the casino, the collection crews, the underground fighting, and videos, etc. But so much more, too! (Note to author: I absolutely LOVE the pharmacy, nice touch!) And since this is Sea Caummisar we’re talking about, it has all the blood, gore, and always inventive deaths that keep us coming back for more.
Beyond all that though…The story that continues throughout these books is outstanding! Together these guys – THOMAS, BRUNO, KURT, and MAX are like brothers, with PAULIE being the honorary, adopted little brother – they’ve grown Sanger into something untouchable. But when the wife and kids kind of family comes in to play, it’s not always so easy to balance. If it comes down to it, which family is more important?
It depends on who you ask.

More reviews on Goodreads

I’ll go over the stories individually at a later time, but it’s so hard to do! Sea Caummisar packs so much story into so few pages that I’m always feeling like I’m balancing on that very thin line between review, or spoiler.

Have you read this series already? Do you have a favorite? I like Kurt & Thomas the most, cuz Max lost his damn fool mind! But, then again, we can’t forget about Paulie… He may not be one of the four founding members, but he’s been here through thick and thin, and knows more secrets than the president should be privy to. It’s really hard to pick a favorite, innt? Gotta boogie for now, but say hey in the comments, let me know you’re still lurking!

DOLLS by Matt Shaw

From Matt Shaw – the author behind the black cover books – comes a terrifying story of lost love and mental illness. Expect twists and turns as he takes you on a dark journey into the depths of a broken mind.

Synopsis:
“He understood why she did it. She had lost her own baby – one conceived by the unwanted advances of a sexual predator – and hated thinking of them out there in the cemetery, alone and cold. She had to bring them into the warm. She had to give them the life they’d otherwise never live. It was her mission. But with each new doll brought home, her yearning for a living child of her own continued to grow. Yes, he knew why she did it but – even so – he wasn’t able to stand by her and he knew she was going to get a lot worse before she got better. But how do you help someone who doesn’t want to be helped? And how do you turn your back on your own sister?”

Another 5 Stars For THE Matt Shaw

IDK what stopped me from reading this title earlier, (published February 2, 2016), but I’m happy that I finally did read it! DOLLS feels like one of Matt‘s older titles – it’s not a black cover, not an extreme extreme horror, and the story totally sucked me in. I was 100% invested in the story right from the beginning.  Now, as embarrassing as this might be, I gotta tell ya… I didn’t see the ‘oh holy shit’ moment until about 5 words before it was revealed to us! I love that Matt can still do that after all these years, and all these books.

I’m trying to catch up on a lot of Matt‘s titles that I haven’t’ read and/or reviewed before now, so stay tuned for a couple more ‘not-too-extreme’ extreme story reviews, and for some with the buckets of blood & gore that I expect to be dumped on me very soon ::winks::

OFFLINE by Kealan Patrick Burke

OfflineOffline by Kealan Patrick Burke
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this #ss by Kealan Patrick Burke!
It was a quick read, but there is a lot of suspense, and cat-fishing going on in the 42 pages of Offline. It’s written in a style that resembles social media posts, and an online chat log. Offline mightAlternate OFFLINE Cover sound like an idea that’s been done before, but I didn’t see what was coming until it smacked me in the face!
Will I be reading more from this author?
Well… I searched my Kindle library for Kelan Patrick Burke and found that I already own Dead Leaves: 8 Tales from the Witching Season, book one of The Turtle Boy series, and a very recent download of The Novellas. Sour Candy has been haunting my TBR list for a minute – (I know because that red cover grabs my attention every time I peruse my unending TBR list!) – so I scooped that up, too. (I’m @ 41% btw). I still want to grab Kin, (I know! I’m shocked that I don’t already have it, too!), and Secret Faces.  Oooooo… I just saw KPB’s Theater Macabre – I need that, too 😉

I have made peace with the fact that I will die with an unfinished TBR list.

What’s next on your TBR?

Next

I’m so far behind on my reviews, I feel guilty starting another book!
I need to get posts up for at least two more for Ed Lee, five for Jeff Strand (Pressure, Fangboy, and the first 3 Andrew Mayhem books – yay!), and, I started the Jack Daniels series by J.A. Konrath – (I’ve finished WHISKEY SOUR, and am halfway through BLOODY MARY).
FEAST OR FAMINE, the newest anthology from Zombie Fiend, is going to knock your socks off! Stand outs [so far] include shorts from Sara Gray, and Alan Dale.
Four stories from Terry West have turned me into a lifelong fan, Zané Sachs‘s SADIE was described to me as the female Peter Jenkins – and I adore her now, and I need to find more from the author. I finally read Jamie Johnesee‘s Bob The Zombie books – and I can’t wait for more – Bob is awesome ❤
Mitchell Crowe has four great shorts that I need to review, Adam Light and Kevin Strange are also on the list that seems never-ending.
If I ever get caught up, I will buy myself a surprise!

I updated Cover To Cover, the page that lists the books I’ve reviewed here on BBB. It was getting hard to follow, so I added a new page listing books alphabetically – by author.
I noticed how many reviews aren’t listed or linked, so I’ll get those up ASAP!

FukReality

Books I plan to read soon include titles from Jeffery Thomas, (author of the Punktown series), Ray Garton, and Tom Piccirilli. Plus – I’m ashamed to admit how many stories from Matt Shaw have danced outside my budget… Tortured, Rotting Dead Fucks, Porn, A House in the Country, and Seed… omg! Bad Fan!

One more update – I added a new page in the ABOUT section, listing e-mail, and most of my social media links. So… find me, let’s connect!!
