Boys Will Be Boys by Rayne Havok

Rating: 5 out of 5.
Ms. Havok ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ is begging for you to bring it to life! See note to author.

WARNING: Boys Will Be Boys is Extreme Horror, and NOT for the squeamish, the easily offended, or those with large sticks up their butts. It gets graphic, and may trigger things long buried. Here’s your second WARNING.

‘Bri goes hiking with her friends, determined to make fun memories before her and her friends are off to college.’

‘Everett and his friends are making their own memories; ones the girls aren’t going to want to be a part of. The boys forcefully include them anyway.’

Amazon Synopsis

I have to say that this was a hard book to read. I had a moment of wanting to beat my Kindle against the closest, and hardest thing possible – while swear-screaming, and ugly-crying. A couple hours of reading exhausted me.

I do love Rayne’s writing style. The only way I know to describe it is he said / she said. Every other chapter. You get to read the POV from both sides – in this book it’s boy/girl, rapist/victim, murderer/dead girl. She writes it all, every dirty joke/every scratch left. All in excruciating detail…

“We’re doing this. Here is the place and now, is the time.”

Everett

Rayne doesn’t fuck around with foreplay, that’s for sure. This time she kinda slammed it in and broke it off. After about the first 10% of the book, there are three pages of happiness. How do things get fucked-up so fast?! I’m talking IRL, too, because this story is just that. It could. It might. Maybe it has. In just a matter of moments you can go from the top of the world to the deepest pits of Hell. Un-livable. Un-repairable. Rayne writes so well, and so passionately. I had to fight off a panic attack when shit got REAL real. I was there, on that mountain, and it was tragic.

But, if you DO survive, then what? What’s next? If it’s anything near what happens in this book – listen close, and hear me loud and clear – no-fucking-thank-you. This ending… Omg, no spoilers.

Note to author: I’m yelling out titles of revenge horror movies, and begging for a do over so my guts feel better. GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS needs to be your literary I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE. Not necessarily a sequel, but, I’d love to see these boys try it again inside of a new cover… Especially after reading that last line!

If you haven’t read this one yet, mind the trigger warnings, but hurry and go get it!! I need to discuss!! While I wait for you, I have Killstreme downloaded, and can’t wait to start reading.

Hogg

by Samuel R. Delany

The classic and controversial novel made available again; Acclaimed winner of the William Whitehead Memorial Award for a lifetime’s contribution to gay and lesbian literature, bestselling and award-winning SF author Samuel R. Delany wrote Hogg three decades ago. Since then it has been one of America’s most famous ‘unpublishable’ novels. The subject matter of Hogg is our culture of sexual violence and degeneration. Delany explores his disturbing protagonist Hogg on his own turf – rape, pederasty, sexual excess – exposing an area of violence and sexual abuse from the inside. As such, it is a brave but necessary book.

A shocking and contemporary insight into a parallel world of sex and cravings that lies in wait in the shadows of our own world.

“HOGG is the story of a man—a depraved trucker named Franklin Hargus, whom the people he works for call Hogg—and of the nameless boy who tells the story of three days of unspeakable sexual violence and devastation, which, together, they initiate in a small seaside American city in the middle of the last century. Hogg is a towering brute who makes his living as a rapist for hire. By the end of a series of vicious attacks, kidnappings, and mass murders, the reader will wonder who is more corrupt: the man or the boy.”

The narrator of Hogg is a Huck Finn–like youngster caught in society’s most sinister seams—but unlike Huck, he passes no moral judgments on the violence he takes part in . . .

Amazon

This got pretty gross.
But I had heard so many things about this novel of ‘sexual violence and degeneration’ that I had to read it. I’m really surprised that something this controversial was written over 30 years ago.
But, again… It got pretty gross.

You know what’s next, right? COWS. ‘Till next time…

The Taste of Blood

by Jon Athan

WARNING: This novel contains graphic content. Reader discretion is advised.

After being sexually abused by her nineteen-year-old boyfriend at a party, Genesis Hudson—a thirteen-year-old girl—believes she has become a vampire. Her hunger for human blood intensifies with each passing day. She craves it, she feels sick without it. Aubrey Horne, Genesis’ best friend, knows she is mentally unwell, but she needs time to help her. So, with an abundance of reluctance, she agrees to help Genesis find blood by any means necessary. And while doing so, she discovers a side to Genesis she’s never seen before…

How far can two girls go to find blood? Can Aubrey save Genesis from herself before it’s too late? Or has Genesis really become a vampire?

Jon Athan, the provocative author behind Our Dead Girlfriend and Mason’s Television, brings you a new grotesque coming-of-age horror novel filled with acts of depravity and violence.

BFF’s – Best Friends Forever? Well, one of them sure thinks so! With a little too much emphasis on the Forever.
Too bad she’s 🦇💩 crazy.
But, it’s one Hell of a best friend to go as far as this one went.

This is a really touching story about friendship. Ok, “really touching” to those of us who live on Planet Splatter… everyone else might have to look a little deeper, past the blood and gore, around the bodies, and over by the fridge, hahaha. I feel kind of shitty because there isn’t a chance that I would have put up with half of the mess that Aubrey does, much less go to the extremes she goes to just to try help Genesis – knowing all along that she’s 🦇💩. There were two points that I was hoping that the author would just jump script and take the vampire angle to a place where we could believe the story – that’s how hard I was rooting for the girls.

Of course I recommend it – it’s Jon Athan! Don’t miss it.

Celebrate EASTER with The Rabbit Man, and Duncan Ralston!

How far would you go for revenge?

When a six-year-old girl is abused and left for dead by a pedophile known only as the “Rabbit Man” due to the claw marks left on her body, police follow every lead but reach only dead ends.

Hungry for justice, her grieving father abandons wife and child on a harrowing journey deep undercover into Miami’s sex offender colony under the Julia Tuttle Causeway. His purpose is simple: to find the “Rabbit Man” among them, and put him in the ground.

Months later, with no one to trust and the pedophiles he lives among growing suspicious of his actions, he learns nothing is simple where the monsters live.

Imagine sitting down to a meal consisting of all your favorite foods.  WAIT! Let’s make this even more fun and pretend it’s your last meal before your execution – (yay)!

At first glance, my table would make most people chuckle because my favorite foods do not complement each other well, or at all. (I’m a grown ass woman and can have ice cream and Twinkies for dinner if I want to!).

My book shelf mirrors my dinner table / last meal.
Yes… I’m all about the extreme horror. Give me a story filled with buckets of gore, sprinkled with very wrong humor, and of course a gratuitous titty (or three) thrown in, and I’m in a very happy place.
BUT… I love ALL flavors of horror. Man cannot live on ice cream alone! Nor can I live on the extreme alone. Plus, [IMHO] there are only a handful of authors who can pull if off successfully – (for MY tastes).

Why the hell am I talking about this?  I’m so glad you asked!

REVENGE is a dish best served cold.

Dunc has proven to be quite the ‘master chef’.
Reread my review of GRISTLE & BONE – I think it was my first book by Duncan Ralston, and I didn’t know him then. I was floored by the stories in that collection by an author who was unknown to me at the time, and to this day I still go through a moment of mourning when I finish one of his books, not wanting it to come to an end. If you’ve read WOOM then you know he is one of the aforementioned authors who can pull off the extreme without losing the story.

WHERE THE MONSTERS LIVE is NOT an extreme horror story, but I want you to have a little ‘heads up’. It’s not super graphic, but it will sucker punch you right in the feels. It will disturb you a bit, and up the level if you have a child of your own.
I didn’t realize I was crying until The Dark Defender woke up to ask me what was wrong, and I had tears streaming down my cheeks.

I got a sinking feeling at one point, because I thought I knew exactly how this story was going to end (we’ll talk about it once you finish). That wouldn’t have made it a suck story – but I’m happy that it didn’t go for the ‘ironic twist’, and I’m very satisfied with how it’s wrapped up – and there could be a little wiggle room JIC case the story isn’t done with us yet.

I don’t think I need to say this, but for the record –
⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆  5/5 STARS!!  ⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Before we wrap this up, please allow me one more moment of inappropriate, and probably unjustified humor here… I cannot remember when or why this popped in my head while reading, but it did, and now it’s going to get stuck in your head, too.  #earrape #psychodad

PARALYSED by Matt Shaw

prisonbound

They had met in prison.
Dennis felt terrible about his crime, and judging from his beaten & bruised body… the other inmates didn’t find his deeds tolerable, either. Except for one man. One man befriended him when no one else could stand the sight of him. That man was Ryan, it this began a long, and very special friendship.

Things are different today, though.

Today is Dennis’s birthday. The card waiting for him from Ryan brings him no joy. He peeks his head into Ryan’s room to see if he’s awake, and the only words spoken to him by his best friend in the world are… “Please, kill me.”

PARALYSED is the new 5 star extreme horror novel from Matt Shaw. Continuing with his Black Cover series, and pushing boundaries of decency, Matt Shaw takes you on a journey with a serial killer and his accomplice, Dennis – a man who’ll do absolutely anything for his broken master.

This is promoted as one of Matt’s Black Cover extreme horror books, but it’s so much more than that. PARALYSED isn’t just a quick ride for cheap thrills – it’s a heartbreaking story about the friendship & love that developed between two of society’s cast offs. I don’t use that term lightly, either. I could feel my heart breaking as the story unfolded.  Only Matt could evoke this response from a tale about a convicted rapist, and his murderous best friend. (sl http://wp.me/p37DRX-1kO)

MY LOVELY WIFE by Dani Brown

MY LOVELY WIFE
by Dani Brown
Print Length: 72 pages
Publisher: MorbidbookS. Everything Bleeds.

A story told by the most patient man in the world, his love at first sight and his obsession to make every perverse sexual fantasy a reality.
Despite the length of this book, it took me a little bit to finish it. I’d get squeamish, and have to put it down – only finding myself wondering what happened next.
Is it sexist to say that I was surprised that it was written by a woman? I hope not, because that’s the last thing that I am. I think that I’m just surprised that Dani Brown has such a strong command of this man’s psyche, and, well… his cock. Some of the detail, and descriptions, are just so spot on – IDK… I’ve seen men write from the women’s perspective, and not many have gotten it down to the point that I’d forget it was a man writing the story.
I didn’t realize this book was just released. I don’t remember how I ran across it, either. Surfing through bizarro blogs, I’m sure, but I wish I could remember exactly. While putting this post together, and gathering links, I found a great #FF – MorbidBooks & The Grim Reverend Steven Rage seem to be linked with LegumeManBooks (GN Braun, Matthew Revert, Bradley Sands, etc.), and that’s bonus points in my book! MorbidBooks has a WP site, (all the cool kids do!) – where everything bleeds, and I’ll most definitely be checking out more of their books, and writers.
I might need a break in between. Maybe go take a few showers, and a few Xanax. Watch some cartoons. Try to start eating again….

AMAZON SYNOPSIS:
Publication Date: July 24, 2014

PORN by Matt Shaw

After a bit of research to assure that authors will be getting paid, I started my Kindle Unlimited membership.
I thought long & hard about this, (that’s what she said), and I thought it was more than appropriate to pop the cherry on my free trial with PORN by Matt Shaw!

WARNING: THIS IS AN EXTREME HORROR NOVEL.
There is gore.
There is bad language.
There are scenes of a sexual nature.
PORN is a violent tale of sex and revenge.
IT IS INTENDED FOR A MATURE AUDIENCE ONLY.

Ever since she a little girl, Victoria wanted to be an actress. She starred in a commercial when she was just six years old, and couldn’t dream of doing anything else. Unfortunately, the gigs she’s picking up aren’t steady. Working just for experience doesn’t pay the bills. Her credit cards are maxed out, she has shut-off notices arriving in the mail, and a nasty habit of wanting to eat every day. (sheesh! some people! am i right?!)
She knows that something has to be done, and soon. She starts hitting casting calls for some ‘less than savory’ roles, and eventually finds herself with a casting agent for adult films. It doesn’t take long for him to come through – and within a few days he’d set her up for an informal audition with Mr. Adams – a producer of one of the largest adult film companies in the UK.
To her surprise, Victoria loved working in porn! She feared that it would make her feel used, or dirty – but it was just the opposite. She felt strong, empowered. Alive.
Victoria Sheldon has just become Vicki Blows.
Her career skyrockets, money is no longer an issue, and she is in high demand.
But, not everyone is a fan.
Vicki barely escapes the session that is supposed to be her final performance. Victoria Sheldon wants to give up – Vicki Blows won’t give up!
This story of hard core revenge Tarantinos you through Victoria’s quest for her ultimate justice. One creepily psychotic moment ran a chill up my spine –

“Who set up our shoot?” she asks.
He replies with – “I’ll never tell you.”
She smiles. “Yes. You will.”

Matt’s first person narrative writing style continues in this book, and how he got into Vicki’s character amazes me. I picture him in front of a Ouija Board, channeling the ghosts of Dawn Schiller, and Madame Delphine LaLaurie. (Maybe getting an accidental session with Rose West.)

WITCH WATER by Ed Lee

WW quote

WitchWater

I’m making my way through my Ed Lee collection. The trouble is… for every one I finish, I want to read two more!
WITCH WATER follows Stew Fanshawe’s journey from Manhattan Paraphilic, to New Hampshire Student of the Occult, and where is journey ends is the best part of the story!
POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!
I get a wonderfully sick kind of pleasure when people choose do the wrong thing! This story, from any other author, would have the protagonist playing detective, finding the evil truth, and busting the whole thing wide open – with an ending full of praise for the bad boy turned good. ‘Atta Boy’s’ & keys to the city would be showered upon him, and, you know… happily ever after…
NOT ED LEE!!
Mr. Lee drags Stew through the dirt & blood, and, they embrace his black soul like a new lover.

cover

Things are getting a bit uncomfortable for Stew Fanshawe, and he needs to get out of Dodge for a while, at least until things cool down. His extra-curricular activities have cost him dearly – see, Stew is a serial voyeur, and he’s no longer ‘in the closet’. His wife left him, he’s paid out a fortune in settlement money, and he can feel everyone staring at him while they silently scream “Peeper!” or “Pervert!”.
Stew’s therapist recommends a vacation. His ex-wife suggests he pitch a tent in Hell, but he decides to give Haver-Towne a try instead. It’s a sedate colonial resort in New Hampshire; rich with history, home to an eclectic array of locals, and lacking in all the temptations of New York. It’s just the kind of place he needs to escape, do some soul searching, and start down the road to recovery.
The Wraxall Inn is the historic hotel he plans to call home for the duration of his stay in Haver-Towne, The Salem of New Hampshire. The 300 year old mansion is much more than it seems. After Stew meets the locals, he starts to learn that The Wraxall Inn and Haver-Towne harbor a secret that isn’t mentioned on the brochures – An incestuous warlock who sired children to be used for something far worse than sacrifice. A witch whose carnal abandon and sheer diabolism stagger even the most demented imaginations. A 300 year old mansion in whose walls are embalmed the infernal secret of…Witch-Water. All inside a town steeped in witchcraft and satanic debauchery.
It turns out that Haver-Towne is just the place to hone Stew’s paraphilic desires, especially with the historic ocular device he borrows from the Wraxall Inn’s display case. His curiosity unlocks one morbid secret after another, and reveals a history of erotopathic witches, depraved covens, sick-in-the-head sexuality, and the most grotesque method of execution ever devised.
Witch Water is a novel of immemorial curses, demonic lust, and absolutely unmitigated evil – all racing toward an ending that was totally unexpected, but an ending that I absolutely adore!

Paraphilic:
Paraphilia is the experience of intense sexual arousal to atypical objects, situations, or individuals.

MY BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE (Book 1): By Atty Eve

My Beautiful Suicide (Book 1)My Beautiful Suicide by Atty Eve
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cosette Hugo is living in a world of terror. She’s being stalked and tortured by a vicious enemy, while the world leaders turn a blind eye to the daily atrocities.
You guessed it, Cosette is in high-school!

Cozy has been going through a lot of emotional turmoil – her parents have divorced, her brother Victor was killed shortly after returning home from Iraq, and on top of it all – she’s being bullied at school, but has no idea why. She just wants to get through this last week of school so she can enjoy her bully free winter break.
Outside of school, the town is in a panic over the Poser Gang, who’s list of victims is growing at an alarming rate, and hitting closer to home than she is comfortable with.
Like the title suggests, her emotions lead her to a very final decision… suicide. When Cosette makes the decision to end her life, she is worried about the people she’s leaving behind. Instead of leaving them with the questions, guilt, or shame that her suicide may bring, she believes that getting herself killed might be a better way to go. She chooses to try and become one of The Poser’s victims – but this decision brings out a darker side of her that she never knew existed. A side that excites and terrifies her at the same time.
