Dani Brown – The Queen of Filth

If you ask her really nicely, maybe she’ll show you her tattoo of Sparky the Spunky Robot

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Dreams die in sheds in Suburban Hell, traded for garden decorations so the neighbours can see how well everyone conforms. Matthew was a popstar, once. His band went on and made it without him, so now every night he goes to the shed to jerk off over his keytar, the one Karen wants him to give up so that she can get higher-tier garden decorations. But too much semen could break his beloved instrument, so Matthew builds Sparky, a robot that takes his cum.

One night, Sparky comes to life, but soon discovers he has no voice. And why would he? Matthew built him to swallow spunk, not to speak. Left in the shed after he serves his purpose, Sparky sets out on a journey to find a voice. Along the way he meets Sandy, a robot like him, only Sandy is powered by a different man, an evil man. Together, Sparky and Sandy scour every inch of their neighbourhood, breaking into nearby garden sheds, exposing the neighbours, all in search of a voice for Sparky the Spunky Robot.

Synopsis

Since Dani about killed me (but in a good way!) with MY LOVELY WIFE, and MIDDLE AGED RAE OF FUCKING SUNSHINE, I’m going to yell you about one of her books that is way tamer, and didn’t make me gag once! 😂

Dani wrote about the first ‘Karen‘ before ‘Karen’ was a thing, and she is quite the biotch of the story, let me tell ya. She is everything that a Karen is, and more. This Karen is a dream killer, slowly turning Matthew into a cuck, all the while trying to out-do the Jones’ in a neighborhood out of an Ira Levin fever dream.

I can’t really describe more than the synopsis already has, but once Sparky comes to life he has his own opinions about Karen, but has no voice to share them. Sparky searches the neighborhood, and everyone’s shed of sins, and broken dreams – (it helps to keep the rest of the neighborhood appear bright & shiney), to find his voice, and learns a lot along the way. Sounds like a fairy tale almost, doesn’t it? Wicked Witch of a wife, a quest to find a sacred object, a romance, and a possible happily ever after (I’m not saying anything, they could all blow the fuck up, you don’t know!) So it’s like a fairy tale – just with lots and lots of cum!

I gotta say – I loved this story! Dani has a lot more for me to explore, so keep an eye out! Her book THE SCRATCHING POST in the FUCKING SCUMBAGS BURN IN HELL series from Godless is awesome – (I decided to review the entire series as one post, and it will be posted very soon).

Suitably labelled “The Queen of Filth”, extremist author Dani Brown’s style of dark and twisted writing and deeply disturbing stories has amassed a worrying sized cult following. Merging eroticism with horror, torture and other areas that most authors wouldn’t dare, each of Dani’s titles will crawl under your skin, burrow inside you, and make you question why you are coming back for more.

Feelin’ Witchy on Devil’s Night

Rating: 5 out of 5.

LIFE’S SHORT. LIVE A LITTLE!

Sabine

Sexy Sabine is definitely going to be THIS Witch’s Guilty Pleasure from now on! Laurell K. Hamilton never had me giggling like Regina Watts did in this book!
This is my very first time with Sabine, and I was falling in love with her as I listened (TTS) to her talk about different taboos, and society’s general disapproval of anything more than mere vanilla bean. Then… cable dog. Cable Dog took me by surprise, and then things really got fun!
I’m not going to spoil this book for anyone who hasn’t read it yet, but I can assure you that I’m about to dive into all things Sabine! Regina has a dark and twisted sense of humor that I can’t get enough of, and if flows out effortlessly through the character. Sometimes so subtly that it took a second for my brain shout ‘Wait! Turn that back… did she just, omg…’! She’s the type of character I know I’d be friends with IRL – part of my tribe.
And did I mention that this is Horrotica? Oh, yeah, I definitely noticed the ‘rotica ::winks:: Thankfully, this is a pretty quick read, and I didn’t get swept up into the throes of passion. This time.
(view spoiler)
There is so much to love here, in such a short story. But, it works – it doesn’t feel forced, or ‘packed’. (see what I did there? The next three days are gonna be full of ‘Thats what she said‘s, then probably a divorce.)
I’ll keep you posted through the next five books, but I can already say with 100% certainty that I’ll highly recommend this series.

So far, Regina Watts is proving her versatility as a writer, and I can’t wait to see what she’s done with BABYSITTER BLOODBATH!

So, where can you find THE WITCH’S GUILTY PLEASURE? It’s a secret! Shhh… I’m only teasing. But it is a secret edition of the Sabine series, for subscribers only. I got it when I signed up to Regina Watt’s newsletter after reading Feeling Dottie. You can find all the information on her official website.

Now, where can you find the Marquise d’Oregon?

On Amazon, Goodreads, The Official Regina Watts Webpage, the Painted Blind Publishing website, @WritesWatts on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Freckles the Clown by Justin Fulkerson

Rating: 5 out of 5.

As the 20th anniversary of their friendship approaches, Freckles the Clown wants to celebrate with Jim. But, Jim doesn’t like Freckles at all. He never considered Freckles to be his friend. As a matter of fact, Jim is terrified of the cannibal clown that forces him year after year to partake in his debauchery.

Determined to put an end to his living nightmare, Jim sets out to murder Freckles before he can kill again. But, Freckles has other plans for him. He’s just getting started.

Book Synopsis

There are times in your life that you need something and the universe provides it – whether you asked for it or not.

Freckles became a part of Jim’s life when he was just nine years old, and Jim fought it every step of the way. Freckles The Clown says he just wants to make things easier; he wants everyone to be

But Jim isn’t happy. Not by a longshot. How can he be when he looks back at every significant, life altering moment in his life, and he sees a psychotic, cannibalistic clown there?! A clown that mirrors his deepest, darkest inner demons. On their 20th anniversary things are going to change – Jim has been planning it for a long time. Freckles knows, too. And he’s ready.

Is that why you act like a child? Because you eat children?

– Jim

Then there is the sad, and tragic story of Franklin Gough. And, one more – about Suzi. Don’t get confused, there’s a lot going on, but the author has it wrapped together very well. Well, there might be a head-scratcher, but it’s all good. No spoiler moments, just know that you won’t be disappointed!

It’s darkly humorous, tragically sad, and scary enough to make you double check your locks. You’ll have this blurry image in your mind throughout – of a clown, looking into a mirror. Don’t you want to know who’s looking back?

Pick up FRECKLES THE CLOWN on Amazon, then head over to Goodreads to share your thoughts. Connect with Justin Fulkerson on his website, @justinfulkerson on Twitter, Goodreads, and his Amazon Author Page.

Sleep tight…

Deep Rooted Fetish – Matt Shaw’s Revolting Romance

Matt literacised ‘Rule 34’

*Dental Trigger Warning*
Deep Rooted Fetish: A Revolting Romance by Matt Shaw

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

He’s gone from odontophobia to odontophilia, and made it work so well that a couple of new odontophilia aficionados may be born from this!
I have to say that Matt could have made this way more stomach turning, (he’s got the ability – I’ve seen him do it!), but he didn’t go for shock value and gross out factors. It’s a perfect blend to make this a book I couldn’t put down. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t for beginners, but it’s…balanced.
I love the characters, I love their relationship, I really just love this story. Notice how it says Book One… It looks like Revolting Romance stories are going to stick around, yay! How can Matt top what he’s already written in the past though? It’s going to be fun finding out! I get the feeling that it won’t be pretty, though. As long as I smile like I did while reading Romance Is Dead, I’ll be a happy me. Matt does his dark humor dry. I love it.
Now… I need to get ‘Our Demons Within’. (Update, almost finished, it’s awesome!!) One book of Matt’s is never enough, I always need a follow up…

Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood by Eileen Cook
★  5 of 5 stars

Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood

I don’t know if Eileen Cook will appreciate my #MichiganMadmen, or #HometownHorror tags, so I’ll start her off slowly with #HometownAuthors.
Revenge is a tricky thing
No, this is not one from my normally blood-soaked bookshelf, but I saw it, wanted it, read it – and I’m happy I did, it was fun!
