Welcome To All Kinds Of Hell

Release Date May 29, 2020
I requested an ARC to R&R

The Devil’s List is a dark tale of insanity and horror from Terry M. West. In the small Texas town of Pleasant Storm during the summer of 1985, Chuck Beall embarks on a journey of brutality and madness. Convinced he’s possessed by a demon that compels him to kill, Chuck’s murderous attention shifts from random transients to those he blames the most for his abusive past.

I see the sign welcoming me to Pleasant Storm and I get a warm, fuzzy feeling. It feels like coming home, and this is right where I’m supposed to be. It’s good to be back.

Chuck Beall has been picked on his whole life. Family, school mates, town folk, no one missed a chance to remind he was different, unwanted, and unloved. They beat it into him hard enough that he’d never forget.
Tormented, and wandering around late one night out by the old Campbell property, Chuck comes face to face with a demon his mama used to tell legends about – The Plat-Eye.
Now that he’s not walking alone anymore, it’s time to turn the sins back onto the sinners, and everything is about to change. Revenge is going taste sweet, and warm.

Games 5: Donny by Sea Caummisar

Coming Soon From The Dark Mind of Sea Caummisar

41JqDq3UwML

Release date Sept 18, 2020 – I requested an ARC to R&R

Here’s a little refresher as to what happened in the Games 4: Maze…
Sara and Donny created a pain maze and forced people to go room to room, which eventually led to painful deaths. Sara was dealing with being pregnant, and after an injury she was put on bedrest for the sake of the unborn child. Donny decided to train the survivor of the maze as his own partner.
The survivor of the pain maze is doing everything in his power to become Donny’s best friend.
This book picks up where that book left off.

Scenes of graphic violence. You’ve been warned.

I think that this is my favorite book in this series. Let’s see, how much can I say without spoiling anything…
Book 5 feels like it has come full circle, everything has been touched upon, thought out, and dealt with, so knowing that Book 6 is coming feels like an added bonus.
I also love how the author’s different worlds are weaving together at the edges – connections are made that make us feel special for knowing these little details of ‘insider information’.
I appreciate Sara a little more than I did before. I know I have see-sawed with my opinion of her since meeting her, but I’m happy with where I’ve landed with regards to her character.
I absolutely adore Rick, and was pleasantly surprised by his arrival. He’s quirky and seems honestly friendly. I’m happy to see that he’s eating better.
I think that the idea of a seventh book isn’t out of the question. Games 7 – The Prequel: Andy’s Story could hold some very mind blowing groundwork.

The Tainted Souls by Matt Shaw and Shaun Hutson

Published May 6, 2020 by Shadow Girl

From authors Shaun Hutson and Matt Shaw comes a new horror set in the time of the Corona Virus.

B086YXY9SF.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_SX500_
The world has gone to Hell. A virus has seemingly come from no where, bringing with it a number of conspiracy theories as to its origin. Some of the theories are outlandish whilst some have an eerie ring of possible truth around them. But, as the world goes into lock down with people living in isolation only allowed out of their homes for essential journeys, people soon realise there are greater things to worry about than COVID-19.
As the virus continues to get a grip of the world, mankind reveals the many monsters within.

#coronageddon

People all over the world are [re]reading ‘THE STAND’ to discuss “similarities” on terror driven social media, and apocalyptic horror stories are driving the conspiracy theorists to crash Reddit.
I think that ‘THE TAINTED SOULS‘ is exactly what we need to help us get through this… something to REALLY terrify us!! It helps us realize that things aren’t as bad as they could be…
This is a great collaboration between Shaw & Shaun. They sure know how to remind us that the real monsters are human.

IF IT BLEEDS by Stephen King

Published April 24, 2020 by Shadow Girl
If It Bleeds by Stephen King

If It Bleeds by Stephen King

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone has a lot to it for a short story.
It’s told to us by Craig, beginning when he was nine years old, ending when he’s in his college years, and is focused on the big events that revolved around his elderly neighbor, and friend, Mr. Harrigan.
Read this with a box of tissues handy, just in case.

‘The waiting is the hardest part’
The Life of Chuck is told in reverse – but don’t worry…this isn’t Memento – it’s a great story that shines light on the good parts of being alive.
I feel in love with Chuck during his midlife years. You might fall in his beginning, or end, but let me assure you – you will trip.
And, man…that cat can dance!

‘No one provokes me with impunity.’
If It Bleeds is a sister story to The Outsider, (and the Bill Hodges trilogy).
Holly has come into her own, and has become quite the little bad ass. This is her first ‘solo outing’, and she sure took care of this story! I hope there is more of her in the future.
I also think I need to re-read The Outsider.

Rat centers on a writer who needs to prove to himself that he can get the novel that’s inside of him – out. (It’s something that hasn’t worked too good for him in the past).
With a little help from some southern NyQuil, a half-dead snarky rat, and a fever dream, the words pour out of his soul. Those words aren’t free though… is the cost worth it?

Fan-Girling Like A Boss: A How To Guide To Chosing Your Stalker Style

Published April 22, 2020 by Shadow Girl
Whether you’re fan-girling over authors, books, characters, or movies… Never forget these words –

864506518e230c19cc8bd08e073847e4--dip-wallpaper

1. Casual Fangirl

This [book/author/show] is pretty good. You’re definitely going to need the sequel. They are talented, attractive individuals.

Actually, this show is excellent. Is there fanfiction? You won't leave the cast photo as your screensaver for that long ... you needed a new one anyway.

2. Fangirl Lite

Actually, this [book/author/show] is excellent. Show me the cover! I need a new screensaver.

Yes, you've watched the trailer ten times just to make sure you caught all the subtext. And maybe occasionally paused on close-ups of the leads' faces -- just to see what their facial expressions said about the plot. But you're not going to tell anyone about it.

3. Self-Aware Fangirl

Leveling UpYes, you’ve read the synopsis ten times just to make sure you caught all the subtext. And maybe occasionally looked at a close-up of the author’s face — just to see what their facial expressions said about the plot. But you’re not going to tell anyone about it.

You just need a T-shirt with that one quote on it. And maybe a sticker of your favorite character. And an exact replica of that ring they found in that one episode.

4. Collector Fangirl

You just need a T-shirt with that one quote on it. And maybe a sticker of your favorite character. And an exact replica of that thing they found in that one chapter.

The next movie in the series came out, and you read that the actors are trying not to laugh at an inside joke in the last scene. And when the lead actress pointed in the first scene what did she really mean? Maybe you should talk about something else.

5. Fangirl Denial

The next book in the series came out, and you read that the author is trying not to spoil at an Easter egg in the one scene. And when the main character did that thing in the first chapter – what did she really mean? Maybe you should talk about something else for a while.

You know your friends are sick of hearing about your fandom. You know you should talk about something else, but the feels are too overwhelming. You have to share them with someone. Anyone.

6. Fangirl Submission

You know your friends are sick of hearing about your fandom. You know you should talk about something else, but the feels are too overwhelming. You have to share them with someone. Anyone.

The story is just so perfect: the lines, and the way the characters say the lines with their mouths and their voices. How is anyone talking about anything else?!

7. Overtaken Fangirl

The story is just so perfect: the lines, and the way the characters say the lines with their mouths.  How is anyone talking about anythig else?!

You realize you've been a bit obsessive and you feel it's time to apologize to your non-fandom friends for trying to drag them into it.

8. Apologetic Fangirl

You realize you’ve been a bit obsessive and you feel it’s time to apologize to your non-fandom friends for trying to drag them into it.

You discover message boards and fanblogs. There is a whole slew of people just like you. Suddenly, you are obsessing over your Facebook friend list labeled

9. Fangirl Community

You discover message boards and fanblogs. There is a whole slew of people just like you. Suddenly, you are obsessing over your Facebook friend list labeled “People Who Get It.”

After watching that one scene for the hundredth time, the line repeated two seasons later totally makes sense! Did anyone else catch how the lead said

10. Analytic Fangirl

After re-reading that one scene for the hundredth time, the line repeated two books later totally makes sense! Did anyone else catch how the lead said “hey” to his lady friend? They are so in love. Everything makes sense.

This is a level many will skip, as fandoms are supposed to support the community. But if someone doesn't know the name of the restaurant in episode 203? Judging you.

11. Judgmental Fangirl

This is a level many will skip, as fandoms are supposed to support the community. But if someone doesn’t know the name of the restaurant in chapter 7? Screw you!

EVERYTHING IS FANDOM AND EVERYTHING HURTS AND CAPLOCKS ARE THE ONLY WAY TO PROPERLY EXPRESS ALL YOUR EMOTIONS.

12. Raging Fangirl

EVERYTHING IS FANDOM AND EVERYTHING HURTS AND CAPLOCKS ARE THE ONLY WAY TO PROPERLY EXPRESS ALL YOUR EMOTIONS.

Your fandom is the best fandom. Your characters are the best characters. You are not interested in hearing from anyone who disagrees.

13. Unapologetic Fangirl

Your fandom is the best fandom. Your characters are the best characters. You are not interested in hearing from anyone who disagrees.

Completely obsessing over a piece of pop culture can be tiresome, and sometimes you just need a break. Unfortunately that's not going to happen, because there are GIFs to be made and fan art to be drawn.

14. Fangirl Exhaustion

Completely obsessing over a piece of pop culture can be tiresome, and sometimes you just need a break. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen, because there are GIFs to be made and fan art to be drawn.

Whatever style you choose, it’s OK. No wrong answers!

I appreciate your devotion, I stand-by & support you.

Just keep repeating these words…
