of the food he’d cooked her was divine. When she told him, over their many online messages, what her favourite three course meal was – she never expected him to cook it for her and yet, that was exactly what he had done. Sitting opposite her, he watched her enjoy every mouthful despite not wanting any food for himself. A man content with the glass of red before him: A liquid dinner. Normally she would feel uncomfortable with a relative stranger watching her eat, but the food was so good that she didn’t care. Anyway, she knew this was her treat… Just as what he had coming for himself – as soon as she was done eating – would be his treat, not that he hurried her to finish. He was happy to wait. He knew
Have you read PLENTY OF FREAKS? OMG, Poor Matt could have ended up in so many of his stories!
To me – TASTE feels like a re-imagining of the 2001 ‘Love ♡ Cannibalism’ case involving Armin Meiwes & Bernd Brandes. Details on THAT are below… heh heh heh…
Like the rest of the White Cover collection, this short story is intended for those who want a quick read before bed, or members of Kindle Unlimited. If you’re looking for something longer, please try any of the Black Cover Range.
Warning: Strong sexual content.

CAUTION: EXTREME HORROR CONTAINED WITHIN
There is bloody violence, gore and sexual content contained within this twisted story. Consider yourself warned.
Cassie and Rich have been texting for a few days, and now it’s time to meet.
No commitments, no strings. Just one afternoon of rough, and kinky fun.
She has a very detailed fantasy, and she knew Rich was the guy to fulfill her every dark, twisted, and violent desire.
HOW WRONG COULD IT GO?
Her text told him to arrive at 4:15.
Not 4:14. Not 4:16. Exactly 4:15.
All of her instructions were very… precise, (read: anal). But, you gotta love a girl who knows what she wants! Playing the aggressor in a violent fantasy with a smokin’ hot, older woman sounds freakin’ HOT – Rich just hopes he can immerse himself into her fantasy completely.
How can one compulsively planned & timed afternoon go to shit so fast? How did things get so terribly, darkly, and disturbingly fucked up?
Never give one person your complete trust. Ever.
I just have one very small … ‘issue’ with KINK –
I started the book expecting a demented and fucked up ‘killer’/‘murderer’ story,
but it took a kind of ‘sci-fi’ or ‘creature horror’ turn at one point.
In any other story, I’d usually be pissed. But, I got into it, it worked, and I liked it!

It’s been five years since the grisly events in Whitechapel, and the man believed responsible for the crimes, Jack the Ripper, has yet to be captured. Charles Hapgood is writing a book about the murders, and has agreed to meet with someone who has information on the case. Everything about this meeting is unusual, so when the writer invited the stranger into his home at 9:00 p.m., he is already on edge. The man introduces himself as Mr. Miller, and begins to tell Hapgood that he would like to hire him to write his memoirs. Ignoring Hapgood’s obvious irritation, and his many requests to leave, Miller finally brings the conversation back around to the murders, and Annie Chapman. He produces a piece of evidence, unknown to everyone but the investigators, and Charles Hapgood finally understands.
The man sitting in front of him is Jack the Ripper, and he has a story to tell.
We’ve heard the theories, seen the movies, and researched the case online for ourselves. We KNOW this story. Right?
Michael Bray takes us deeper, and gives us a voyeuristic introspective of the MAKING of the Ripper.
“Cult horror filmmaker Brian Sully has isolated himself to a simple life on the Oregon coast after being publicly shamed by the lead actress of his most recent B-Movie monster flick for sending her pictures of his dick. Brian’s years of isolation have left him on the brink of suicide. But after his best friend and producer books him at a 20th anniversary horror festival honoring their first feature film, Brian Sully’s life is about to change. Is true love real? What if you fell in love with something not quite… Human? Would you pursue it? Would you let anything stop you? Even death? I DIED IN A BED OF ROSES is Kevin Strange’s first ever crack at the paranormal romance genre. But if you’re expecting a mushy love story, well, you don’t know Kevin Strange!”
I’ve always loved the eye-catching book covers put out by Kev, (and some of the old SHB gang), but the cover for I DIED IN A BED OF ROSES is gorgeous. (You gotta love that red hair!) The cover-art is by ‘kinkmaster’ William Skaar, (the creator of Carnigor). Be sure to check out his website!
Do I HAVE to say that (like most of the things I post) his work, and site, is 18+? (♫ ♪ Ass n titties, ass ass n titties ♪ ♫)
I haven’t read IDIABOR yet, but I plan on it – very soon. BOLO for the review!

I don’t know why I ever chose to torture myself and willingly read A CHILD CALLED IT, but Dave Pelzer broke something inside me – I haven’t been right since. Knowing that, you’d think I’d have learned a lesson, (yeah, I know… I’m audibly laughing right now, too). Nope. Years after ‘ACCI’ I decided that I wanted to read THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, and I let Jack Ketchum walk right in and start poking at the wound that David Pelzer left with a big, pointy stick. I think it was the masochist in me who invited Mendal W. Johnson to drop by and sucker-punch my PTSD in the back of the head. As far as the ‘Let’s Go Play At The Adams‘ fiction/non-fiction debate’ goes – I’m sticking with IT’S FICTION, but I’m sure all the atrocities have been committed, many times, and on many different Barbaras.
Like LGPATA, THE ABUSE OF ASHLEY COLLINS is not a true story – but it very well could be. Watching the decreasing sanity, and the elevating brutality of Ashley’s parents demonstrates just how fast situations can escalate. One little poke at the wrong moment, and all control is lost – you can’t come back from certain things.
THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION. It is disturbing, and hard to read at times, but the author is not exploiting issues to gain shock value for a horror story. Jon Athan comes at the story from every possible angle, from every p.o.v., and sheds light on problems that most families would keep hidden in the dark. Let me misquote one of my favorite movies before you start reading…
WARNING: This book contains scenes of graphic violence, including violence towards children. This book is about abuse—verbal, physical, and emotional. This book does not feature any explicit sex scenes, but it does discuss sexual abuse. This book is not intended for those easily offended or appalled.
Ashley Collins, a sixteen-year-old girl, has severe behavior issues. She regularly fights with her parents, Logan and Jane. When the fights become personal and physical, Logan and Jane decide to take matters into their own hands. They chain their daughter in the basement and abuse her in an attempt to rescue her from her bad behavior… while delving into their own deviance and depravity.
This is a story of family and abuse. This is a story of violence and discipline. This is the abuse of Ashley Collins.
Jon Athan, author of A Family of Violence, brings you an uncompromising vision of human horror. Can the cycle of abuse be broken?
